Congratulations to Anisha Chutani, Woodinville Montessori High School senior, who has won a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship! She was named a Finalist in February, and has been waiting to hear whether she would receive a scholarship.

Only 2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a talent pool of over 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners are the Finalists in each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college studies. The number of winners named in each state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the nation’s graduating high school seniors.

Anisha will attend the University of Washington’s School of Engineering, into which both she and classmate May Hong were directly admitted. They are WMHS’s second graduating class, and will graduate on June 16.
